How Lamar Ceramics handles personal data submitted through this site.
Last updated: 17 October 2026
Who we are
This website is run by Lamar Ceramics Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15238785, with its registered office at Prince William Avenue, Sandycroft, Deeside, Flintshire, CH5 2QZ, United Kingdom. In this policy, "Lamar", "we" and "us" mean Lamar Ceramics Limited.
We are the controller of the personal data described here. If you have a question about this policy or how we use your data, email sales@lamarceramics.co.uk or write to us at the address above.
What we collect, and why
When you send an enquiry
Through the enquiry form we collect your name, company, email address, telephone number, country, your message, any file you choose to attach, and the product page you enquired from. We use this to answer your enquiry, prepare information or samples you ask for, and keep a record of our correspondence.
Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and, where you are asking about an order, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
When you register a warranty
Through the warranty registration form we collect your name, address, telephone number and email address; details of the company you bought from; the product, its use and its barcode(s); and your receipt number, receipt date and a copy of your receipt.
We use this to check your application, administer your warranty, contact you about it and handle any claim you make under it. Our lawful basis is the performance of the warranty you are applying for, and our legitimate interest in confirming that a product was bought from an authorised seller within the registration period.
Receipts are stored in our own database, not in our public image storage, and can be opened only by authorised staff.
Marketing
If you tick the box agreeing to receive commercial communications, we may email you about our products and news. We do this only with your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time by replying to any such email or writing to us. Withdrawing consent does not affect your warranty.
Spam protection
The warranty form may use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person, not an automated program, is submitting it. To do this Cloudflare processes information about your browser and device, including your IP address. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the form free of spam and fraud.
Cookies and analytics
We set a small number of cookies that the site needs in order to work. These do not need your consent:
- csrftoken - protects our forms against cross-site request forgery. It lasts up to one year.
- messages - carries a one-off confirmation, such as "Thanks - we'll come back to you shortly", to the next page you see. It is deleted once shown.
- lamar_consent - remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies, so we do not ask on every page. It lasts six months.
- sessionid - used only when our staff sign in to manage the website.
Google Analytics
With your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site - for example which pages are viewed, how people arrive and which device type they use - so that we can improve it. Google Analytics is not loaded at all until you press Accept on the cookie banner. If you reject, or ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are set and nothing is sent to Google Analytics.
If you accept, Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_<ID>, which last up to two years and distinguish one visit from another. Google processes information such as the pages you view, your browser and device, and your approximate location, on our behalf as our service provider, and may transfer it to the United States under appropriate safeguards. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising, and we do not use it to identify you.
Our lawful basis for analytics is your consent. You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link at the foot of every page; if you withdraw consent, the analytics cookies are deleted.
Some pages include content from other services, which may set their own cookies under their own policies: the map on our contact page is provided by Google Maps, and videos on our advertisements page play through YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, which does not set cookies until you play a video. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries - for up to two years after our last contact with you, unless they lead to an order, in which case we keep them as part of that order's records.
- Warranty registrations - for the 25-year life of the warranty and six years after it ends, so that we can deal with any claim.
How we protect your data
The website is served only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Access to submitted data is limited to authorised staff who need it, and our service providers are bound to keep it secure and use it only on our instructions.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example when we change how the website works. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
